Our Colour Combinations are Inspired by Music
Just as music is built on rhythm, tempo, and variation, the layered colour lines within our material form a visual rhythm of their own. Each colour line corresponds to a beat, a pause, or a movement — together creating a freeform pattern that reflects different musical styles.
Every colour combination represents a distinct genre of music. Some are calm and restrained, others expressive and energetic, but all share the same underlying structure: a layered composition where colour and material move together in rhythm.
The patterns are never printed or repeated. Instead, they emerge naturally through the layering of coloured birch veneers, resulting in a material that feels dynamic, tactile, and alive.
Our colour combinations fall into two distinct families, much like music itself:
Subtle & Monotone Rhythms
- Classical Brown
- Shady Rock
These colour combinations are composed of variations within a single colour family, gently infused into the wood. The rhythm is calm, balanced, and restrained — creating a quiet, architectural presence.
These patterns feel timeless and grounded, designed to blend seamlessly into refined, minimalist interiors.
Expressive & Multicoloured Rhythms
- Coffee Jazz
- Minty Funk
- Seaside Blues
Inspired by more expressive music styles, these colour combinations combine multiple tones and contrasts. The rhythm is freer, more dynamic, and full of movement.
These patterns bring energy, character, and a sense of play to the material, while remaining balanced and sophisticated.
A Visual Rhythm in Wood
Across all colour combinations, the rhythm is never rigid. Lines vary in thickness, spacing, and intensity — much like music varies in tempo and expression. This creates a natural, flowing pattern that cannot be exactly repeated. As a result, every product carries its own unique composition — a quiet visual echo of the music that inspired it.

Coffee Jazz
A warm and expressive colour combination inspired by jazz rhythms and autumnal moods. Natural birch tones blend with coffee browns, accented by subtle splashes of red, blue, green, and yellow — creating a relaxed yet confident visual rhythm.
Coffee Jazz feels mature and playful at the same time, full of character and movement, like a song you dance to when no one is watching.

Shady Rock
A layered composition of deep grey tones with subtle variation, inspired by the raw strength and quiet confidence of rock music. The way the wood reflects light gives this colourway an ever-changing character — refined, modern, and unmistakably luxurious.
Shady Rock feels strong and independent, with a slightly raw edge that adds depth and architectural presence to any interior.

Minty Funk
A fresh and joyful colour combination inspired by funk music and the lightness of spring. Soft mint tones are mixed with pastel shades of red, yellow, blue, and green, balanced by natural birch.
Minty Funk feels youthful and optimistic — playful, energetic, and full of colour, bringing a sense of freshness and nostalgia into the material.

Classical Brown
An earthy, warm colour combination inspired by classical music and timeless interiors. Rich brown tones flow naturally through the wood, evoking aged hardwood, leather and quiet evenings by the fireplace.
Classical Brown carries a calm, aristocratic elegance — a colourway that speaks of quality, longevity and enduring craftsmanship.

Seaside Blues
A relaxed and atmospheric colour combination inspired by the rhythm of the ocean and coastal landscapes. Shades of blue flow through natural sand and soft mint tones, creating a composition that feels airy, grounded, and effortlessly calm.
Seaside Blues evokes summer cottages, warm breezes, and long evenings by the water — a colourway that captures the feeling of slowing down and enjoying nature in good company.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Our material is made from high-quality Nordic birch veneers that are individually dyed through their full thickness before being layered, glued and pressed into plywood sheets.
This creates a distinctive striped effect visible on the edges — a rhythmic composition of colour running through the entire thickness of the material, not just applied on the surface.
The colour runs through the entire thickness of each veneer layer.
Unlike surface-stained or printed materials, the tones are integrated into the wood before lamination. This means the colour remains visible even on edges, corners, and bevels — ensuring durability, authenticity, and a refined layered aesthetic.
Yes. Sustainability is part of our foundation.
- We use responsibly sourced Nordic birch from FSC-certified forests.
- The material is long-lasting and designed for extended life cycles.
- Products are crafted to avoid fast-consumption waste.
- Finishes are durable and easy to maintain.
We believe longevity is one of the most powerful forms of sustainability.
No — and that is intentional.
Because we work with real wood veneers, each product carries natural variations in grain, tone, and layering rhythm. Even within the same colour combination, no two pieces are exactly alike.
Every item is therefore subtly one of a kind.
Yes.
Our products are finished with a protective matte lacquer or oil-wax surface (depending on the product type), making them resistant to everyday wear and easy to clean.
They are designed for real-life use — on desks, dining tables, kitchens and offices — not just for display.
Maintenance is simple:
- Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
- Avoid soaking or prolonged exposure to water.
- Do not use abrasive cleaning products.
- For oil-wax finished items, occasional re-oiling can refresh the surface.
With proper care, the material ages beautifully and maintains its depth and character for years.
